		M	ix	Mark A. C. Burruss 1 was born 1840 in Louisa Co., Va. He died 1864 in Tennessee. 1  _UID CE708B28212AAC48A2AF65D8B5B40ACF00EE Mary Masterilli has death as 21 May 1864 at Columbus, GA of typhoid fever.  However Don Shdburn writes in his book "Blood Kin: Pioneer Chronicles of Upper Georgia" p. 138 :          "Mark A. C. Burruss, born 1840. He enlisted March 10, 1862 in Co.E., 43rd Georgia Infantry, attached to the Army of Northern Virginia, and was elected 4th Sgt. in 1863. He was wounded on May 16, 1863 at Baker's Creek, Miss., and captured July 4th 1863 at Vicksburg, Miss. He died in Tennesee in 1864."  So the death date of 21 May 1864 would correspond, but the place does not. Need to check for a record of death in Columbus, Floyd Co., GA.
